How do you like those rancho 5000 shocks compared to the 9000s. I am torn between the two.
Re: My 2007 2 door build
I will always like the 9000's its so hard to compare. Both have pro's and cons. Honestly either will be fine under your jeep.

Love the 9000's. I recently set them to 7 al the way around on my JKU and they are better than ever now.

What's kind of lift height do you have on your jeep Catmando, I'm just trying to justify the extra for the 9000s. I've heard nothing but good things, but I've also heard nothing but good things from people running the 5000s.
Either on is going to be a huge improvement over the pro comp es 9000s I'm currently running. I let a guy at 4 wheel parts talk me into them when I had my other 2.5 spacer Lift installed over aa year and a half ago when I new very little about the stuff. Although the pro comps are a improvement over stock, they just don't get the job done.

I put on a Rock Krawler 2.5 Stock Mod kit with Rancho geo brackets. Over the last two years I have been progressively increasing the numbers on the shocks. It seem seemed like setting 3 and 5/4 were most popular on the forums....but it is all a personal preference.

Thanks for the info. I'm still debating, I got a 3" trailmaster Lift, running AEV correction brackets, a 1.25" Rough country Body Lift, with a rock krawler track, sitting on 17x9 incubus krawlers wheels with 1.5" rough country spacers and 35x12.5-17 Yokohama M/T tires.Catmando wrote:Jamie wrote:What's kind of lift height do you have on your jeep Catmando, I'm just trying to justify the extra for the 9000s. I should of jumped on them last month when they where buy 3 get the 4th free. I would of gotten the 9000 for sure. Now I'll to figure out how to sell it to the wife that I need the 9000 over the 5000.

If I can find them for that I would be all over that. I'm going to check around and see what kind of black of Black Friday sales I can find on shocks. $82 is a steal for those shocks.Catmando wrote:Jamie wrote:Thanks for the info.
